“The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving.” - Oliver Wendell Holmes
It’s 74 days before the September 30 Licensure Examinations (LET) for teachers. If you are taking the LET, then by now you should have at least already found a review center to attend, gathered references, or purchased review books.
This coming two weekends (July 21, 22, and 28), MindGym Philippines will be bustling with LET reviewees who will be refreshing their knowledge and skills in their LET specializations with MindGym topnotchers. LETers can expect a day or days in very close contact with March 2012 LET Top 2 MJ Pagaduan, Top 7 Don Galinato, Top 8 Kleng Mambiar, Top 9 Vanessa Simon, and Top 9 Joanne Mejia; regular coaches Albert Basa (Top 3, April 2009), Melane Manalo (Top 3, April 2010), Peej Caguin-del rosario (Top 10 September 2011) and Ice Alcantara (Top 5, September 2010); and other MindGym top raters and invited guests.
To reviewees attending MindGym’s majorship weekends, here’s what you can expect:
1. Practice, practice, practice. You’ll never get tired practicing for LET at MindGym because each practice set you accomplish ensures that you remembered lessons learned, gives you added confidence that you are closer to your goal of passing, exercises your analytical and application skills, improves your reading speed and comprehension — or in short, makes you more able to top/pass the LET.
2. Good company. You’ll meet and interact with MindGym topnotchers, all eager to share their knowledge about their specialization as well as their winning LET strategies. With several review coaches having recently taken the LET, you can be sure that you’ll be guided to properly hurdle the challenging LET items they encountered, you’ll gain techniques on how to answer tricky items; and you’ll have the latest information on the LET. Aside from being with topnotchers, the LET majorship weekends would also give you new friends that you can network with for mutually beneficial LET review collaboration. Make the Law of Attraction work for you.
3. Steps closer to your LET goal. The weekend brings many (those who took summer LET review and started review last June 9) several steps higher towards their goal of topping the LET and for those just starting this July 9, a chance to take a leap in terms of specialization proficiencies. Remember, your specialization rating is a substantial 40% of your total LET score and it would pay to focus on this bulk part to increase your chances of LET success.
Majorship weekend would have the following schedules:
English July 21, 22, and 28 9am onwards
Filipino July 22, 28 9am onwards
Math July 22 9am onwards
Biological Science Awaiting coaches’ availability
Physical Science July 21 9am onwards
Social Studies July 21, 22 9 am onwards
Early Childhood July 28 9 am onwards
Content Course July 21, 22, 23 9 am onwards

Values Education July 21 9 am onwards
TLE July 21, 22, 28 9 am onwards
MAPEH July 21, 22 9 am onwards

MindGym LETers should expect a big boost to their LET readiness after this weekend. Yes, it’s a moving forward weekend worth looking forward to.
