Observations about the January 2014 LET Results

Of these topnotchers, five actively participated in MindGym’s LET Review or 18-day Intensive Coaching for the Licensure Examination for Teachers. Two self-reviewed online through MyReviewCoach.com, MindGym’s online LET review platform.

Of the seven MindGym topnotchers, 4 graduated from the University of the Philippines, two from the Ateneo de Manila University, one from Miriam College, and one from the Pamantasan ng Montalban.

This batch yielded two commendable record.  First, this is the first time in four years since MindGym operated its review center that the LET witnessed a Filipino major in the Top 1 rank – Deidre Morales. It may also be the first time PRC had one after years.

Second, MindGym coached an English major (one of 3 most challenging specializations) in the Top 10 rank – Kevin Angelo.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) announced that 11,120 elementary teachers out of 38,377 examinees (28.98%) and 12,033 secondary teachers out of 42,358 examinees (28.41%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) given last January 26, 2014 in 15 testing centers all over the Philippines, the bulk of which came from NCR (18,055) and Davao (8,202). Passing rate for this batch was lower than the 35.6% average passing rate in the September 2013 LET.
