Join us in our first of a series of M.A.D. Teacher workshops. Aimed at developing soft skills, self-care, and other essential habits to help teachers effectively handle their ever-challenging environments.

On Time and Finance Management
Senen Pineda graduated with a degree in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. He worked in various non-profits and volunteer organizationa before becoming a teacher. He is currently finishing his graduate studies at the Ateneo de Manila University.
He is a firm believer and active practioner of lifelong learning. He is currently active in educational consultancy, socio-civic organizations, and youth community projects. He loves to read, paint, and travel.
A Taste of Mindfulness
In this day and age when challenges and concerns related to family life, school, work, society and environment are intensifying, it is of utmost importance to take a moment to pause to de-escalate and regulate the build-up of a toxic day. Through this introductory session, the participants will learn about Mindfulness and how it can alleviate stress and manage depression and anxiety. The participants will also experience Mindfulness through a simple meditative practice.
About Louise Far
Trained on Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavior Therapy (MBCT) by mentors from the Centre for Mindfulness Studies (CMS) in Toronto, Canada, Louise Far co-facilitates FriendlyCare (FC) Foundation’s mindfulness-based programs for stress, depression and anxiety. Through a grant and in partnership with University of the Philippines, Diliman, CMS and FC, she is currently part of a research and facilitation team investigating on mindfulness, empathy, compassion and altruism among university students
Louise is also a photographer who facilitates creative processes for community youth to create stories through imagery. At present, she is designing and prototyping “photography workshops” on senses, biography, and contemplation.
On Art as Stress Release for teachers
Scott Ralph B. Paña graduated with a degree in Clothing Technology from the University of the Philippines Diliman. He has worked as a designer and creative consultant in retail brands before being a teacher. Currently, he is finishing his Master of Arts in Education (MA Ed) major in Art Education from the same university.
He has been passionate in teaching arts to MAPEH teachers reviewing for LET at MindGym, and advocates the teaching of art for daily living. He recently joined the public school system. He is a “Pizza lover who can eat a whole Family sized pizza.
